Learning the Ropes in Real Estate from West Virginia

Hi everyone, my name is Chaz and I am from a small town in West Virginia...I live in the mid-Ohio Valley region and I am looking to start networking, learn from experienced investors, and building a team that can help me flip houses.  Over the past year I have become very interested in real estate investing.  What got me interested was the fact that my grandfather gifted me a house.  The house was my great grandparents, after they pasted away it sat vacant for over 16 years.  My grandparents didn't know what to do with it because it needed a lot of work and they even concidered tearing it down.  Only having a minimum wage job, being 24 years old, and the average price to rent being $800 gave me the idea to fix it up and move in.  Over the past year I have went from knowing absolutely nothing about houses or how to fix them to quite the handyman from reading books learning from friends and family and so on.  I found out that working on houses, learning more about investing, and being involved in this field is my passion and I would like to do my best and learn from the best and that is why I am here.
