New RE Investor from San Diego CA

Hi Everyone!

I'm a new real estate investor living in San Diego CA, I'm an Attorney and MBA with experience in business and entrepreneurship, but new to real estate investment (except from my own house which was a short sale bought in 2008 for $320K with 10% down, which I fixed and use as my own residence, the following year I refinanced it eliminating PMI and lowering the interest rate to 3.37%, and today is worth aprox. $550K, perhaps it was just luck since I was just doing the best I could with no specific knowledge of REI). My goal is to learn this amazing profession of real estate investing and start doing it full time, so I'm trying to learn from every opportunity I have (books, podcasts, networking and anything that you might suggest) and also contribute in any way I can to this great community.

From what I'm learning I'm getting more inclined to learn about two strategies: "Flipping"for the short term (generation of more cash) and "Rental properties" for the long term (more passive income), for this I liked the BRRRR strategy, but again I'm learning and I'm very open to listen.

I'm amazed by the quality of the people posting here, how nice and respectful everybody is being very honest at the same time, kudos to the creators of biggerpockets and the members for making it work in this way. I strongly believe in those values too.

If you feel that i can help you in some way, or you have any suggestions for me please don't hesitate to contact me or post here!

All the best,

Alcides Centurion
