Hey there everybody! My name is Chad. I'm born and raised here in Indiana and I'm getting into the real estate market to build some passive income to migrate away from my current job. Right now I'm working as an IT consultant but I'm not sure that a desk job is right for me. I'm currently 19 years old and figured that now's as good of a time as any to start building my portfolio.

I don't have any real background in real estate but I gained interest after researching some ways to achieve passive income. I started out with Rich Dad Poor Dad from Robert Kiyosaki and listened to a lot of his podcasts. I'm now moving through research online and I'm looking into some other books to guide me in the right direction. I landed here on BiggerPockets after using some of the tools available (such as the calculator) and reading some forum posts as well as some helpful articles. This looks like a great community to be in and I'd be happy to be considered part of it.

I'm certainly the type of individual who's very determined, hard-working, and dedicated to his work. Because of my day job, I don't have as much time as I'd like to work on my investments - just 10-15 hours a week right now. However, I'd like to think that within a few short years I'll be able to quit my job and dedicate myself more to my investments. My main motivation comes from wanting financial freedom and I feel that financial freedom is easily within my reach.

I'm pretty friendly and I like making new friends or finding potential partners. Feel free to communicate with me and I'll try to get back to you whenever I can!

Thanks!

-Chad

Welcome to the jungle Chad. Keep reading the e-books, listening to the podcasts, and just absorb the knowledge that all of these veterans pass around. You'll learn a lot
