Hi BP Community,

My name is Debrina. I'm actually from New York/New Jersey, however, a job offer brought me to the Bay Area. I stumbled upon this community and I'm soooo excited I did.

After a recent vacation to Myrtle Beach, I decided that I just didn't want to work a 9-5 for the rest of my life. I'm excited about real estate investing after pouring through this forum for the past few weeks. I want to enjoy the same level of success as other BPers.

A little about me... I'm a non-practicing attorney (licensed in NY); I'm married with one child. Between the two of us, we earn an income of a little more than 200K annually with credit scores in the mid 700s. We haven't saved much money, as I assumed some significant student loan debt (We've already paid off half!) Anyway, we plan to pay off the remainder in the next year. We'd like to make our first purchase in the next year.  We plan to spend this time looking, studying, asking questions, building a team, etc.

I'm looking to build a team which would include a mentor in the Delaware area. By the way, I'm not stuck on Delaware. I simply chose Delaware as it is an area familiar to me. I plan to return back to the East Coast in a few years, but for now, I would be an out of state investor. I plan to join the DelREIA group, but if anyone else knows of a way to network from afar, please let me know. Additionally, if anyone thinks there isn't a great market in Delaware and I'd be better served elsewhere, please let me know.

Great to be here!

I would look at Texas. Job and population growth for the long term...
