Hi I'm new to the Bigger Pockets community. I have been reading this page for a  while and have listened to pod casts and read books. I just made my first offer on a 4 unit and am considering partnering with my adult children in another state to try some flips. My husband and I hope to retire in about eight years unless I blow all of our savings, hopefully not. We live in Dayton Nevada, and became interested in real estate because our area is on the edge of a pretty sizable boom. A road is coming through from the largest Walmart distribution center in the world which will only be 23 miles away and Tesla is currently building a giant factory in the same area. Costco and Walmart have both purchased land near by. We are talking to the county about re-zoning land for multi housing as our area is in short supply. We are currently looking at all the ways we can to in on this before the prices get out of control, which they will.
