Newbie in Charlottesville, VA; Willing to Help out/Analyze Deals!
Hi,
I'm in my last year of school at UVA law in Charlottesville, VA (22903) and have previously been a math teacher and an analyst/assistant for a financial advisor. I am inspired to become an investor in Real Estate after reading The Millionaire Next Door several years ago and very recently, The Millionaire Real Estate Investor. I've also listened to many hours worth of the Bigger Pockets podcast and Investing in Real Estate Investing with Clayton Morris. I'm primarily interested in the Buy & Hold, or Buy, Improve, & Hold strategies.
I would be happy to help analyze deals (I recently built an easy to use excel model, which I'm happy to share) in exchange for meeting to discuss your business or to shadow investors as they meet with brokers, manage property (tenant walkthroughs, rent collection, repair supervision, eviction, etc.), negotiations, and closings. I'm sure there's other things I can help with as well, so please just ask!

Congrats @Charlie Guinn on getting started here on Bigger Pockets. I'm a fellow investor that recently moved to the area. I have a couple deals under my belt currently, but still working on my processes and figuring out how to grow into a large scale operation. Sounds like you are on the right path in offering services for gaining knowledge. There are a few guys, just as Quin said, in the area that are pretty big investors.
Are you planning on staying in the area after graduation?
Although I am fairly new (1 year actual experience) in the Investing world, feel free to connect with me and I will help any way I can. Good luck and keep reading and gaining any knowledge possible!
