Greetings BP!! Chantal here! Brooklyn-born and raised. My family has always been in real estate, more so multi-family R.E., but I never quite took the time to learn it. As of late, my interest in becoming a R.E.I. has piqued b/c I don't enjoy working for others. I absolutely dread it, and don't plan on retiring from anyone's job. I am actually already in the R.E. field somewhat, as I am a Real Estate Specialist for a government agency. It's a bit different from what I want to pursue, but is giving me some insight right now, regarding different terms, etc.
I have a budding video production/photography business and plan to do that eventually FT. I feel that R.E. can assist with these dreams, and I am willing to put in the work to get this done - no matter how long it may take, as I know it's not the easiest. I was given some land from my family a few years ago, but I haven't the slightest idea as to what to do with it. I actually went to visit it about a year ago to look at the surrounding area, but am pretty much just paying land tax for now. That's something I'm hoping the BP community can help me figure out, as I begin to browse the forums. In addition to how I can take the leap and begin my R.E.I. journey with little to no capital. I've been doing a little bit of research, and absolutely LOVE the BP podcast episodes that I've listened to thus far.
I look forward to learning as much as possible from the BP community (and hope I can be a resource in some way as well), and hope to meet some great people in the weeks, months, years to come.
