looking for buyer's agents in Houston & Dallas, investor focus
Hi all,
I am a newbie who made a relatively fast start, thanks to all the useful info from this site.
My goal is to create a small portfolio of (~10) properties for passive income. I am recently closing up my 2nd purchase in Indianapolis and would like to start looking into Houston & Dallas.
I like the idea of Turnkey investments to avoid CapEx items in the mid-term. However, I've noticed they usually ask for a premium over market price. Consequently, I ended up working with an investor friendly & experienced buyer's agent to identify very good condition properties directly from MLS. This worked out good in my opinion.
I am looking to replicate this in Houston & Dallas. So, I'd appreciate for any recommendations for investor friendly buyer's agent, who ideally is also involved in property management, or at least, have good connections with reliable & cost-friendly contractors.
Thanks,
-S.

Hi @Serkan Eren
I sold around 20 homes in the last year turn-key in the Houston market place. I stopped doing it though and mostly just add to my portfolio now as lately I have been wanting to keep the property for myself :)
Houston is a great market, keep in mind that property taxes can be quite high though and might be a bit of a shock - anywhere from 2.2-3% of the assessed value.
My advice would be pick one of either Dallas OR Houston and then get busy. In my opinion there are enough deals to go around in both markets.
Also, a good property management company is critical (as you probably already know!).
Let me know if I can help!
