Hello everyone.  I am not in real estate investing yet but I am in the process of educating myself so I can be better prepared when I start.  I'm in Chicago, Illinois but have not decided if I will focus in the city.  I am leaning toward rentals for some passive income.  I am happy I found this website with all its free information!

welcome to the site Sara...as Lumi Ispas said Chicago is great...as long as you know the areas..north side is higher price, safer, more rent, but less cash flow...south side is less price and very high cash flow but comes with dramas...depends on your risk tolerance I guess...go to the local REIA meetings, network as much as you can.
