Insurance Agent and Wannabe Investor

Hi Everyone,

My name is Cristian Sipa and I'm a partner in an Insurance Agency based out of Anaheim, CA.  My wife and I are looking at eventually becoming investors so found BP and am looking forward to learning more about what we're potentially getting ourselves into.

While we're in the learning stage, I figured I could still help the community by providing my services as an Insurance Agent in California.  I'm an independent agent I currently work with over 75 carriers to help my clients protect themselves from financial losses.  Currently have a lot of investor clients who range from a new investor with one condo to large commercial clients with multiple apartment complexes and commercial buildings.

Not sure where to start, so I figured coming in slow would probably be the best bet and gather thoughts about what direction to go.  Right now the plan would be to Buy and Hold but we've also talked about flipping as well.

Any advice from the community?  At this point, we're thinking our first investment will be at least a year out...

Thanks in advance and look forward to being involved in the community!!

Cris
