Hello BP Community,
I’ve be hooked on this website for the last few weeks. Love the podcasts.
I currently work as a project manager at a residential design/build contractor. My wife is a full time interior design/sales rep and part time realtor. For years, we have talked about leaving our jobs to start flipping homes and buying rental properties but can’t pull the trigger. We have many of the pieces in place to transition into this business and have recently found a potential investor. I think most of our problem is ANALYSIS PARALYSIS as discussed in the BP podcasts. We are fairly young and have 2 children under the age of 4 so we are hesitating to go all in. We are not worried at all about our ability to find and rehab a house but more the timing and market conditions right now. With the US elections and the global financial troubles in the news lately, it seems risky to go all in on this venture. I initially started researching on Bigger Pockets to find discussions on strategies to weather the storm in a declining market because that’s the biggest fear for us to get started.
Thank you for all the information so far and I look forward to being an active member on the forum.
