New Member Welcome Wagon
With thousands of members now, the Forums here at BiggerPockets have become a true resource for real estate investors. In an effort to make our site even friendlier, I'd like to officially ask everyone to try their best to help out and become a member of the welcoming squad.
This is not an official group, but a set of volunteers who will, when they can, make some of the newer members feel a bit more welcome here. Respond to the New Member Introductions. Ask these guys and gals about themselves.
Engage one another.
I get more and more emails of late from investors who have linked up with one another to network and do deals. This is happening every day. Getting involved can only help you open the opportunities up.
Thanks everyone for your involvement, and to all of our newbies, WELCOME!

Hi Everyone!
My name is Gabe Cole and I am a Real Estate Broker and Investor from Orange County, CA. Yes, I do live in The OC and No, it isn't as bad as it looks on all the TV shows.
I have been an agent for about 6 years and I am now also listing some REO properties for banks. I also specialize in short sale transactions, so if anyone has any questions about that I am here to help. I am also here to learn more about REO bulk purchases as I am just getting my feet wet in that industry.
Glad to be here.
Hello,
I too will make the effort. Newbys like myself are rapidly becoming real REI's, with the help of BiggerPockets! I went to a REI meeting recently. It was not the group I was looking for, as they did not like wholesaling (acted like it was equity stripping and dishonorable), which I am interested in doing, in a thoughtful, fair and profitable way. There is another group that costs more for membership, but sound better. I will go to their first January meeting. Anyway, in the first meeting, none of the REI there had even heard of BP! I think maybe Minnesota is behind the times. (-; More for me! Anyway I gave them the website address, many wrote it down, so who knows maybe we eill have a few more contruibuters and learners soon. Thanks, Mike
This is my first post but I would be glad to welcome new people as they arrive (time permitting).
I have spent some time lurking as they say and I want to compliment the powers that be on a great website

Eli,
Welcome to BP.
This post shows up as being your first. I suggest you start a fresh thread in the New Member area where you introduce yourself to the group. Focus on some personal details so people get to know you a bit.
Hello everyone. I am a new member looking to network with other investors and realtors to help people prevent foreclosure and make money! :D
My partner and I operate HarrtStone Consultants. I am the Senior Negotiator for short sales and she is the Investor who buys/sells the property after the short sale is accepted by the bank. We are not realtors.
We have 2 short sales in the pipeline and would like to get advice and talk as we progress.
Thank you,
CJ

Hey everyone! I wanted to touch base with you all and try and return the Welcome Wagon back to its initial roots . . .
The reason we started the welcome wagon was so people would start to participate by welcoming other new people to the forums. Lately, it seems like the welcomes here on the New Member Introduction forum have been a bit less enthusiastic and I hope that we can revive interest.

Please take the time to welcome at least one new member to the site when you visit. If all members spent an extra 2 minutes doing this when they came to the site, we'd blow people's minds!
:woohoo:
Not only would we create a great amount of goodwill with the newbies to the site, but we'd likely attract many new people to the site for you to network with as a result.
So . . . enough babbling from me. Get out there and start to make the new BiggerPockets members feel like they are now a part of something wonderful - a community of people who are here, not only to learn and make money, but also who want to give back and help others out!
I know that you can do it!
Wow! The positive energy flow from this place is excellent. What a find.
Josh,
It is amazing isn't it.. You offered a prize for the top "welcome wagonner" and everyone was after it, now no prize besides just a "thanks" and it goes dry.
I hope people turn it around. Having someone actually reply to a post and getting that e-mail the first time saying there is a response is cool. It encourages people to come back and post some more about their experience, their knowledge, etc. Ya never know which person will have the answer to the problem or challenge you currently are facing, so let's go kids, get in the game and welcome all to the boards!!

It is pretty amazing to me as well. Seems that money/prizes are a pretty good incentive!
With that in mind, if there is anyone interested in getting some publicity for their book/product and wants to offer it as a prize for some contests here on BiggerPockets, let me know by PM and perhaps we can get another contest going again!

Hello everybody,
My name is Kimberly...but you can call me Kimber. I am a real estate consultant and I reside in Atlanta Ga. I look forward to learning, assisting and making a lot of friends at bigger pockets. Also I hope that all of your dreams are coming true.
I am an Atlanta investor and my business partner and I specialize in quad apartments for the past 2.5 years.
We both got our start a few years back in single family rentals and gradually migrated towards apartments.
We are always looking for new investors to team up with and practice an abundance mentality and like to help others.
Look forward to meeting more of you and meeting local ATL investors.
