South Carolina REI Trainee

Hello Everyone, My name is Jebo Aho. I am 25 years old and I live in Aiken, SC. I am a Control Room Operator at the Savannah River Site. Prior to my current job I served in the Marine Corps for 5 years. I am married and have a 1 1/2 year old daughter.

I found BiggerPockets by being lost on google trying to figure out how to learn about REI. There were way too articles with lingo I couldn't understand at all. So I joined this group hoping it would focus teaching what REI is all about. It did exactly that, I took the Ultimate Beginners Guide and it put me in the right direction.

The reason I put "Trainee" in my subject is because I bought into the systematic way of thinking so I have acquired quite a bit of debt, and none of it is a "good debt". I have set short term and long term goals to get rid of the debt, I will get rid of most of it in the next year to year and half. During this time, I will be learning everything I possibly can, while building my savings and paying off debt. I feel that I am not in a position to start investing because my personal finances are a wreck and I need to first learn self control in my finances. My new adopted model is "live my personal life like Dave Ramsey and invest like Robert Kiyosaki"

Thanks for reading this short essay and I hope to get to know all of you on here!
