Hello BiggerPockets nation,

I'm currently an aspiring real estate investor located in San Tan Valley, Arizona. I Spent the last 3yrs in the military stationed in Washington state (beautiful state by the way) at a little place called Fort Lewis as an Infantryman. I'm 25 years old & I've managed to become debt free & save a little over 30k, simply by having the discipline to follow a budget, not making impulse purchases, and by cutting down my bills and saving a little money here & there; whether that's collecting all that pesky pocket change over the years, to seizing small money making opportunities on the side . I'll officially be ending my Active Duty service on the 1st of September and transitioning to my soon-to-be day job as a Corrections Officer in Florence, AZ.

I was born in Southern California but have practically lived in Arizona and grown up all over "The Valley" my whole life. Ever since I can remember, I've had an entrepreneurial spirit. From a young age, I remember going to the local 99¢ only store and buying cool, trendy, pencils and notebooks with skateboarding designs and selling them at school. I want to channel that entrepreneurial spirit into something bigger & better.

Experience

I am new to real estate investing. Although, I did have my Real Estate license from 2011 to 2013, only to let it expire and enlist into the U.S. ARMY afterwards. I have had small exposure with BPO's (Broker Price Opinions). Also, I've assisted my father with his fix & flips by doing the manual labor like painting, removing trash, etc..       So, I'm Definitely not afraid or opposed of getting my hands dirty. At the same time, I am by no means an expert; I'm a newbie and I'm not afraid to admit it.

Real Estate Goals

1. Utilizing my VA Home Loan to house hack a multi-family property within 12mos.

2. Learning to Fix & Flip properties & BRRRR!

3. Joining a local Real Estate group/club and actually showing up.

Currently Seeking

Any advice or lessons learned about house hacking using a VA home loan for multifamily housing or SFR are much appreciated.

Can't wait to meet, chat, contribute, and learn from like minded BP'ers
