my name is John Krentz and I've just begun my real estate investing adventure. Right now I'm only investing in single family (buy and hold) properties in Wisconsin. Eventually id like to expand into other areas of real estate investing.

Currently, and for the past decade, I've been a police officer in southeastern Wisconsin. While no direct correlation exists between Law Enforcement and real estate investing I can say, with a good degree of certainty, that my profession has prepared me quite well for this next adventure. From having a good grasp on and utilizing the resources available from land records to identifying deceptive behavior to conflict resolution, having a good working knowledge of the court system to conducting thorough screenings of tenants and so much more!

A couple of the main driving factors for me to get started in real estate is becoming financially free (of course investing in real estate involves debt...but you know what I mean) the future that I can provide for my 6 year old son and let's face it, while being a public servant may be admiral etc a person isn't going to retire with a ton of money so this provides a good foundation to build off of with respect to retirement.

At any rate, enough about me. I wish you all the best!
