First time posting here on BP. I am a geospatial analyst and I'm also in the Army National Guard. I am a husband and have three little girls. I have been interested in real estate for years just never thought it was something I could do. I started listening to the BP podcast about a month ago and have listened to about 40 episodes or so. I have a rental down in Ozark, AL by default; we rented it out when we moved to Huntsville five years ago. We've had the same tenant in there the entire time, I've been lucky so far.

I've been talking to my wife about what type of investing she would feel comfortable with and I think we're both in agreement we want to start out with Buy and Hold, since we're somewhat familiar with it. We want to start out with single family and then move into multi-family over time. We'd like to try a flip or two every once in a while just to gain the experience down the road as well. We're in the learning how to analyze a deal phase right now and we're hoping to do something here soon.

I have limited time in the afternoon because I work in a building with no windows and don't have much access to the outside world so I have to learn to use my time wisely. So if you have any tips I could use to juggle a full-time job with no contact, three kids in the evening, and one weekend a month(which is much more work than that) for the Guard,  my ears are open. :) I've already shifted my reading to more real estate focused. I just finished Rich Dad Poor Dad yesterday and have three BP books and a couple more RE books in line.

We're super excited about this community and just want to soak in as much information as possible. We've got a lot to learn.
