Hello BP! New Member in Raleigh-Durham interested in Flipping

Hello BP Community,

I have finally pulled the trigger on a long-time desire to enter the world of REI. I received my Real Estate license this past April, and am wrapping up my post-licensing classes here soon. Fortunately it was in one of these classes that I was introduced to another BP member who recommended this site. As a result, I have been steadfastly listening to as many podcasts, blogs, etc. when possible, and look forward to taking advantage of all the resources available.

My immediate goal is to find and work on distressed properties to flip, although I am also open/interested in creating a rental portfolio long-term.  

Also, I would appreciate any information on local networking or meet-up groups to connect and become active with.
