Apparently I became a member of BP in May 2014. First post today. Not the best at getting involved on a personal level. Probably cost me a lot of money and experience. Yesterday, August 8, 2016, my wife and I made our first real estate purchase. Six duplexes, using owner financing in Champaign, IL. We, especially me, are very excited and are looking forward to how this will change our lives in the years to come. I don't think I've missed a BP podcast since May of 2014, and would like to thank @Joshua Dorkin @Brandon Turner and their staff for the time and effort put into such a quality product.

Through your podcasts, and the guests on them, I have learned a great amount of knowledge in regards to the real estate world. Not a podcast goes by that I don't learn something valuable. I also have two great friends/coworkers who have encouraged me on our journey as well. It has been a very cool (as well as scary) experience going from book knowledge, to putting that knowledge into practice.

I have so much to learn, but I know where I can go to get the help I will need. Thanks, BiggerPockets!!

I couldn't more highly recommend both the Book on Rental Property Investing and the Book on Managing Rental Properties (just finishing this one up).
