I am 18 years old and have decided to be a real estate investor because I want financial freedom for my self. I am Christan and I want to use the money produced by my investments to take care of myself and the people I care  about. I feel that college inefficient in providing an avenue for freedom and that many educational institutions educate people on the wrong topics. I realize that if I want to be a real estate investor I will need to educate myself and work hard, but being free is worth it to me. In America we talk about freedom, but seldom do people actually take the opportunity to be free. $50,000 - $100,000 of college debt with no reasonable way to pay it back and the lack of knowledge to create wealth to pay it back is not freedom, working pay check to pay check is not freedom, and letting the government take care of me is not freedom. Knowing how to create wealth is freedom. I look around at the financial situation of America and am afraid. I have had the blessing of knowing about websites like this where I can take ownership of my finances, while so many others are quickly shoved into the world letting someone else handle their money. I don't want to be comfortable and taken advantage of, I don't want to except that working 9 to 5 as a specialist is the only way to make money, I don't want to settle for less because of the fear of the unknown. I want to be a real estate investor and I am excited! I guess this what the Bible talks about when they say the "vigor of youth"!
