My name is PJ Scalf and I live in the North Texas area.  I was turned on to BiggerPockets through my wife who had heard about it from a friend.  Real estate has been an interest of mine since I first read Rich Dad, Poor Dad, but I had convinced myself that Kiyosaki just caught the right market at the right time - though there is some truth in that - I am reinvigorated in knowing that there is a whole community of people proving that theory incorrect.  I am here to learn and glean as much wisdom as possible before starting with my goal of making my first real estate purchase in 2017.  

I welcome any connections, especially those near me and willing to help as my journey of a thousand miles begins.
