I did not have an interest in real estate investing until I stumbled upon bigger pockets. Now I’m obsessed. Don’t remember what google search brought me to this site but I was searching for information on traveling to Memphis.

Here I learned a little something about cash flow and turnkey properties. Find it very intriguing. Ran the numbers on my personal residence and homes I’ve owned in the past. As I pretty much knew there is little to negative cash flow in this market. Even after owning for a decade. Appreciation on the other hand is nuts.

Wish I found this site much sooner. I did not realize that there are parts of the country where income on rentals is higher than the expense. When I was a renter I rented from older people renting the house these used to live in, not from big investors. I plan on saving up some cash, learning lots, then take the plunge into out of state investment.

I sold real estate for a couple of years and hated it. Not sure I learned anything useful as far as investing goes. My only other experience is with the homes I’ve purchased as my residence.
