Real estate agent/investor in Maryland

Hello BiggerPockets community,

As my profile states, I'm a real estate agent/investor that has been apart in roughly 10 real estate transactions. From the purchase of my long term investment properties, personal home, and buyer representation. I am currently working on completing my first flip which is located in Laurel, MD. I really love real estate and helping others. I have worked with couples that needed a place to rent while they are waiting to fix their credit and save money to purchase a home. In both of these cases their situation was so bad in comparison to the type of property in the area in which they wanted to live that no property management company would touch them. After applying for places that turned them down for one reason or another, I found both couples a place that met almost everything on the checklist with owner managed properties. Of course on these deals the agent, do not get paid, but I did it because I cared for my clients best interest and I was in a fortunate enough position to not need the money associated with doing so. I was able to use those situations as ways to learn the business which I believe will help me tremendously years down the road, and very confident will only bring me future purchasers. I only mention the former stories to support my claim for doing it for the love. 

I joined this community because I made a lot of mistakes doing my first flip that could have and should have been avoided. I have the tendency to learn the lessons the extremely hard way. I have decided that I no longer want to learn that way so I decided to dedicate more of my day listening and reading from seasoned people in the positions I intend on being. I came across a podcast with J Scott who described how I could avoid the mistakes I made on my first flip as if he were speaking to me directly. I thank biggerpockets for providing this platform to help me currently and to continue doing so. I look forward to networking with like minded people and hope that I can help others and make a ton of money along the way to provide for my family.
