I am currently a senior majoring in mechanical engineering. For the past three years, I have worked for an engineering consulting firm in New York City where I have designed MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems for high rise residential and commercial buildings, as well as hotels, pharmaceutical labs and government offices. Working on the engineering side of real estate development, I have grown a strong interest in the industry.

My career goals are to first invest in multi-family homes and vacation rentals to establish a cash flow. I am also open to the idea of wholesaling and flipping properties. My long term goal is to eventually retire from a full time engineering career, and focus on building a real estate development firm with the wealth and knowledge I have acquired from real estate investing.

Unfortunately, as a mechanical engineering major, I do not learn the necessary skills or gain any advice on real estate investing in the courses I am required to take. Additionally, I am yet to have a network of experienced real estate investors to help me get started.

I would love to get in touch with an experienced investor, and learn the basics and tips to launch a career in real estate. I would also like to get in touch with new investors to bounce ideas off one another as we both grow in the industry.
