Hello, My name is Mark and I am a member of the Navy stationed in San Diego.

I am 27, I have no prior experience in real estate, and I am in the process of educating myself on the subject using the resources at BP. I am focused primarily on house hacking and multifamily homes using a VA loan, as I think this is most likely to be my first investment, but I am interested in all aspects of real estate.

If there are any current or former members of the military who could speak to investing in real estate while active duty, I'd love to hear about your experiences/advice. More generally, it would be great to hear how any members got started purchasing their first multifamily home in the San Diego area.
