Newbie in Indianapolis IN area

Hey everyone,

I'm new to Real Estate, and new to the Indy area - just moved here.

I'm itching to get started, specifically in buy and hold, ideally by househacking a duplex, triplex, or fourplex. I don't have experience, but I think a partial rehab would be fun and be a great way to learn, as would being part of a flip.

I still need to find a job here, so that's the biggest obstacle at the moment, but in the mean time I need to network and learn!

Hi @Phil Shaughnessy! Welcome to Indy and BP. I hope you find it a good fit personally and professionally. Learning by doing is a good start but don't overlook the wealth of information on this site. There are also local investor meetings (CIREIA and INREIA) once a month as well where you can network. There's a CIREIA meeting coming up on Thursday, if you can make it. Info is on their website (https://www.cireia.org) or through Meetup.com.

I'm an investor and agent in the area and happy to help you with any questions you have as well. Best of luck with the job search!
