New Investor in San Diego, California

Hi BP!

I am relocating to the San Diego area, and have finally decided to become active in real estate. I had the idea to get into rental properties years ago while living in Chicago, but never pulled the trigger. That was 5 years ago, and that condo I was looking at would have been paid off by now and providing some positive cash flow today!

But why now?

I'm finishing up "The Millionaire Real Estate Investor" by Gary Keller, and having read other books prior leading up to this one ("Think & Grow Rich", "The Magic of Thinking BIG", "The ONE Thing"), it really got me thinking about what I want in life. I narrowed it down to a particular property in Chicago, and will need to generate the capital to acquire it.

My focus at the moment will be flipping houses to create the initial capital to later invest into rental properties. Increasing your network will increase your net worth, and since BP was recommended to me from two, completely unrelated sources, I am here to learn and make connections!

TTFN!

Jerry Padilla Thanks for the welcome and the name! I'll look to get in touch with Kevin.

Ryan Woods within 10 years, I would want to purchase a property in Chicago (Buy & Live), but it's pretty expensive at the moment (penthouse). Thus, looking forward to taking action in San Diego by gaining knowledge about real estate to: 1. Generate capital to invest in rental properties, and 2. Utilize rental properties to provide monthly cash flow to pay for future Chicago residence.

Ricardo Olea I saw your name pop up on one of my keyword alerts for a property in North Park. I LOVE the area, and will continue to look around for opportunities.

Meanwhile, I have some podcasts to make my way through. Thanks everyone!
