New member from San Francisco, seeking financial independence
Hi,
This looks like a great community, glad to have found it!
I work in tech and though I like my work, I have realized that it is not sustainable long term.
I am interested in a low maintenance way of earning an income that will support my family long term and most importantly, free up my time to do other things.
Rental real estate sounds good, but I've never done anything like it. Have to admit it's a bit scary :)
I am willing to invest up to $150K.
I'd love to hear suggestions as to where I should start and what to aim for.
P.S: what's your take on buying a studio or one-bed close to me in San Francisco given that I live here?

Hi Muhammad,
The rental game in SF is quite complex...but can be done. What neighborhood are you in? Soma is softening up...and I know of a Jr 1 BR not on the market yet...not subject to rent control. I can help you navigate...it's only scary until you get all the knowledge you need.
Coffee?
Cheers,
Suzy
