Hello,

My name is Becky Fischer and I have worked in the vacation rental industry for 14 years. We provide resources to Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket vacation rental homeowners so that they are successful marketing and managing their rental property. More specifically, I provide marketing services including on-site consultation, photography, social media, and video.

We promote the importance of screening tenants and offer many tips as to how best to screen, satisfy and welcome back repeat guests.

Good morning Mona, 

Our business is WeNeedaVacation.com. We have been marketing vacation rentals on the Cape since 1997 and have seen the industry grow! Not only are more families recognizing that a vacation rental is an economical and spacious way to vacation, but investors are realizing how to make it work well financially, with the benefit of using the house themselves occasionally or as retirement plan. I see no signs that the future of vacation rentals here will diminish, quite the opposite. 

It is challenging to manage a property from off-Cape. While we do not property manage, we have partnered with many local companies who offer such services. Our Home Services Directory lists many homeowner needed services by town. 

We are different from FlipKey in four ways. We do not collect any commission from you nor charge the vacationer any booking fees. Depending on your plan with FlipKey, you may face these charges if you use the pay-per-booking plan. Secondly, we feel very strongly that the communication between the homeowner and vacationer is vital, thus we do not offer and automatic online booking options. We coach our homeowners how to best screen tenants and provide great service in order to welcome back repeat guests. Third, we specialize on the Cape and Islands. We are a niche businesses that has gained a large and loyal following of both homeowners and vacationers. We list about 4000 Cape and Islands rentals in the summer. Finally, we are local. Our team either lives on the Cape, grew up vacationing here, or owns Cape or Islands rental properties themselves. We know what makes Dennis unique and therefore how best to market the town as a destination. We are most proud of our very hands-on customer service to our homeowners. We belong to all the local Chambers and have an office in Brewster.
