New member new to real estate investing in a new city - Boise, ID

As you can tell from the subject, I'm new to all of this. You may have already met my husband Mike Key, but if not, a bit about us and me. We're a family of 4 who sold everything to travel the country in our Airstream. We both work remote jobs, and I specifically work for a tech company based out of San Francisco.

We've loved traveling and plan to continue, but some family needs require that we slow down for a bit. So we decided now was the time to get into real estate investing and stop dreaming about it. We've settled, so far, on Boise, Idaho. (Hot market anyone??) And we've been exploring the area the last two days and watched 2 exceptional deals go off the market just as we tried to make an offer. We're definitely in the fast lane here and learning as much as we can as fast as possible.

Ideally we'd like to house hack our first purchase to give us somewhere to live that's generating some income over the winter. Our Airstream travel trailer is definitely not rated for snow! And then we'll expand into either more duplexes, single families, or other as we get to know the Boise and Treasure Valley market overall.

Look forward to chatting with you all, learning from you all, and of course, making some money!
