New Member from South Florida Looking For Any and All Advice
Hello BP My Name is Patrick Benn. I am very excited to be here and I'm very excited about my new career starting up in real estate later this year/beginning of next year. I'm located in Sunrise Florida, previously I was living with my parents in Pembroke Pines. My ultimate goal is to obtain as many cash flowing properties as I can so i will not need to work to maintain my current yearly expenses (appx $50,000) I have just finished my Sales Associate course and now i need to complete the state exam. I am 26 years old and I have been working in the Aviation Industry for about 5 years as a degree holding, certified A+P mechanic. I was also raised with a father who fixed everything!! My father owns a co-op in Hollywood, Florida where I have funds and time invested along side him. That being said I'm good with my hands and I am not afraid to get dirty and put in the work needed to get jobs done. I have just completed my first year of home ownership and almost a year of fatherhood and life is great. I was up 40k in equity right after the purchase and I have made many improvements since then. Either way i don't plan to sell this house. Most likely it will be a buy and hold type of deal in the future. I am just starting out in real estate and I would like some direction from whoever is willing to provide it. The plan for me is to liquidate my Roth 401k and create a "cushion" of money for me to sit on while i adjust to the new career change and pay inconsistencies from commission based pay intervals. I will be selling timeshares with some friends of mine in Weston, and that is what led me to get my real estate license. I am also looking to possibly sell property on my own or whatever peeks my interest, what kind of opportunities await sales associates? ... There is a lot to say and I talk a lot, but I'll leave it here and see what responses I will get.
