New guy from Florida

Hello everyone. My name is James (but you can call me Jimmy) Fisher. I am a 29 year old living in the north end of Palm Beach County, FL. I was born here and have spent most my life in this area. I am currently the construction coordinator for Urban Building Concepts, Inc. I am new to the real estate and construction industries, but working for a General Contractor who also invest in real estate, gives me constant opportunities to learn, learn, and then learn some more. I have been blessed to end up in a situation where the only limit to learning about real estate is the amount of effort and action I put into it.

About 3 - 4 weeks ago I was introduced to BiggerPockets. BOOM!!!! (that is my head exploding the first time I saw all that BiggerPockets has to offer). Since then if I am in my car driving, doing work on the computer, etc., I have the BiggerPockets podcast on trying to soak up as much knowledge as possible. I have one week left of class before taking the state exam for my Real Estate Sales Associate license. I am reading books, listening to them on tape, researching local meetings to attend, learning how to analyze properties for potential deals, and so on. 

A potential partnership has presented itself to acquire a few multi family units. My goal is to increase my knowledge and build a foundation which supports me in making smart investing decisions. Hopefully having knowledgeable people around me and taking advantage of all the tools available to me, I will be able to begin my real estate investing career with a great first deal.

I am grateful to have come across this amazing community, and to learn from all of you on a daily basis. I genuinely appreciate it. I am determined to contribute to this community, giving just as much as I receive. 

I would be glad to do some research or be of service to anyone who feels that I might be able to help them. I can offer my time and strong work ethic to help anyone who feels I may have something to offer them. I would be honor to be of assistance, and I would greatly appreciate any opportunities to learn.
