Newbie introduction- Phoenix AZ

Hi - my name is Ursula Gasser. My husband and I are looking for houses in our area to try and rehab and flip. We are new to AZ as we moved from New York less than a year ago. My husband has construction experience. We don't have any investment experience. We have bought a few houses and built our last house in NY, where my husband was the GC and did a lot of the work himself. We are hoping that once we get this rolling, my husband can quit his job here and focus on the business.

We just started last month. It seems like we've put in a lot of hours in researching, marketing, studying, getting lists, contracts, working on scripts, etc. The only person that has called us back from our direct mail is a lady that told us to take her off the mailing list. lol.

I am hoping that once the ball gets rolling things will get a little easier. We have joined our local REI club and in a short amount of time have already received a lot of useful information from there.

I came across BiggerPockets in my online research and have already listened to a lot of the podcasts and have learned many things from there as well.

I am happy that there is a place like this where there is so much knowledge and look forward to learning more threw the site.
