Hello BP Community!

My name's Mike Balboa. I'm an Army vet that recently graduated Ohio University and moved to Columbus working as a sales rep for a chemical company that specializes in water treatment.

I'm looking to buy my first duplex with a VA loan to house hack before the summer's over. After I get moved in I'm looking to get into multi-family and eventually small apartment investing in central Ohio. A friend recommended I check out the BP podcasts and I've been trying to learn as much as possible.

Looking forward to meeting and learning from the locals!

@Michael B.

There is a FREE meeting this Thursday for experienced and newbie Landlords, Investors, and Flippers at Tommy's Pizza on Dublin-Granville between Sawmill and Riverside.

You can arrive at any time but from 6:00 - 6:45 PM they'll have a Q&A which is very helpful for newbies and this month there will be no special speaker and the rest of the meeting will be very interactive with a lot of participation (more Q&A, experiences from knowledgeable folks, good stories and bad, information about property valuation, etc.).

There will be at least one attorney attending, a number of agents, many experienced landlords, flippers, etc. This will be a very good opportunity for networking and to meet people active on BP and those who don't use BP.

The meeting will end around 9 PM but the room will be available for networking till about 10. As stated above, this is an absolutely FREE meeting (except for any food or drink you order). Attendance is usually around 40 - 55.
