Hello from Jacksonville, FL

Good evening --

I joined BiggerPockets this afternoon after having listened to the podcast for the past several months. What took so long? Great question. I'm here to learn as much as I can about real estate. It's always been something that intrigued me but I never put much time in to learning about it. Today is the day that changes. 

I'm 26 and have spent the majority of my life in Jacksonville, Florida. I love the city but I don't want to limit my real estate knowledge to just Jacksonville. I want to continue to learn and grow throughout the days, weeks, months, years to come. 

My primary short term goal is to find a mentor that can be a guide, and a sounding board, and an advisor. My secondary short term goal is to buy my first property, with the intention of living in it and then renting it. My longer term goal is to have an array of properties that offers a stead cash flow. Maybe one day, I'll be able to focus on real estate, as I don't think life should be spent in a cubicle. 

I look forward to taking in everything you all have to offer and I can't wait to build relationships and one day give back everything I have learned.
