Hello from Long Beach

Hey,

What an awesome community here. I'm from Long Beach, CA and prices here in SoCal are surreal. I've always liked the Real Estate Investing for buy and hold, some flipping as well but always thought it was unachievable for me at this point because of the high prices here. Until I listened to one podcast that mention that best properties won't be in your back yard. I did a little research and found out that was totally true.

I'm looking for properties in the midwest with prices around $30k. Any suggestions where I should start to look for my first investment? Any input/feedback/warnings related to my first investment is appreciated.

Thank you!
