New Member in the Destin, Fort Walton Beach Area

Hello!

I'm the definition of a newbie.  I rent a house in west Destin, Fl but have "house hacked" for the past year by renting out the other rooms out to almost break even (living for free).  The owner offered to sell the house to me, while that deal isn't a good one it got me looking at the real estate market in the Destin and Fort Walton area.  Right now I am looking for knowledge.  I find house flipping, and buy and hold both something I could get into for single family homes.  I also see a lot of potential in the Destin area for AirBnB and VBRO type rentals which could be a possibility.  I'm a people person and would love to meet up with anyone in this area to swap ideas and network.  I am active duty military and my job keeps me on the road on and off almost half the year.  The forums look great so far and I look forward to hearing from fellow investors!
