I have been a mortgage professional for almost three decades.  I have had a CA RE broker license for almost three decades as well.  I have a CA General Contractors license that is currently in active.  My educational background includes a BS in Real Estate & Land Use and Finance from California State University, Sacramento.

I have not been overly motivated to invest in real estate, but my lack of confidence in equities markets has created new motivation.

I am interested in exploring all aspects of investment and looking forward to active investment.

@Mike McIntosh, welcome to BP!  You have a great background a lot more experience than may new BP'ers and hopefully you can share your knowledge and experience with the community, which will also allow others to get to know you better.  I'd definitely recommend checking out the meetups mentioned above, I've been to both @David Oldenburg's and @Tapan Trivedi's and both are great.  @Al Williamson also just hosted local BP meetup last Thursday.  And the RE Summit in the bay area that @J. Martin is doing is going to be great.  So there is definitely a wealth of resources available :)
