New Investor - Been Lurking Now Ready To Get Started

Good afternoon!

My wife and I have been doing a lot of research into getting started with real estate investing and have read so much that we need to stop the analysis and just get started. We have been to local meetups here in the greater Puget Sound area and studied the area extensively and have found the market really isn't for us at this time.

We have friends living outside of Nashville so we have decided to move our focus to areas we can get to within a couple hours of them so that has brought us to looking at the Birmingham, Memphis, and Clarskville areas as our areas of focus. It also gives us good reasons to make more trips to Nashville which we love.

We are looking for single family buy and hold properties for truly passive cashflow opportunities. So we will likely be looking into turnkey properties to start but will look at other possibilities over time depending on the opportunity and the ability to maximize our current available capital. We have been compiling a list of people highly recommended on BP in the the areas of property management, real estate agents, and turnkey providers and will be setting up some appointments with them this week as we are headed down there in about a week, but if anyone has any "must talk to" people in those areas we would love to try and setup some visits and conversations while we visit these three locations.

Thank you for all of the information the past few months, even the people like us who don't do a lot of posting do take the time to look and read as much as possible on these forums and everyone has been so generous with their experiences so far.

Thanks again.
