What are the basics?

Hey everyone! So I'm about to be a sophomore in college (Accounting major) and I've recently decided I want to get started in real estate investing. But I have no experience whatsoever, nor do my parents or anyone that I know personally. What advice would you offer about how to start out? So far I've just been trying to read a lot and I've learned a few things, but half the time, I dont even know what I'm reading because the terms are all foreign to me lol. So any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!
