Cincinnati contractor trying my hand at real estate investing!

A big hello to everyone on Biggerpockets.com! I am located in the greater Cincinnati area and have worked in residential and commercial construction since the age of 20. I started my own modular building contracting company 2 years ago and have experienced great success. The company is now growing and performing as I had hoped it would.

Several months ago a colleague opened my eyes to the possibilities in the world of real estate. Given my experience and background working with general contractors on several residential rehab projects as a subcontractor, I was greatly intrigued and began to educate myself on the subject. My thirst for information led me to Biggerpockets where I hope to gain even more advice and knowledge from the members here, people with far more experience than myself when it comes to the in's and out's of the real estate market. I've always found the best way to learn is from other people who have real world experience.

I see myself excelling in residential flips as well as buy and hold rentals. I know my previous experience in residential rehabs will be a huge advantage when estimating rehab costs. I'll also save money on subcontractors as I plan to do most of the work myself (at least in the beginning!). Any discussion or tips for me specific to the Cincinnati area would be greatly appreciated! Can anyone suggest a realtor or wholesaler in the area that specializes in distressed properties?
