Grad Student Newb
Hey Folks-
My name is Mike and I've been following biggerpockets for a few weeks now and decided that it would be a good idea to start posting and interacting with the wealth of knowledge on these boards.
From what I've read people appreciate a full rundown so they know where your coming from when they answer your questions.....as apposed to "I do short sales let make a deal!" so here goes:
Im currently a Grad Student at University of Denver and I am majoring in Real Estate and Construction Management. My primary focus going into the program was for Construction Management. It still is, and upon graduation I hope to work for a GC or as an Owners Rep.
However, as I get deeper into the program the investment/strategy side of things is becoming more and more interesting. So thats what brings me here. Id say my main interest is Income Properties, but Im keeping an open mind with regard to other forms of REI.
I would say Im in the infancy stages of become a Real Estate heavy hitter. Since I dont have the capital to make moves now, I figure I will use the time from now until I have that capital (goal: 4-5 years) to learn everything I can.
Any advice, direction, encouragement or otherwise is greatly appreciated.
Mike
