Best means of getting started.

Hello everyone, Im Jarred Ross Im getting into real estate to provide for an early retirement. I'm 24yrs old, and currently an Account Manager for a marketing company in Dallas, Tx. I have no hands on experience in the industry, but I continue to do my due diligence in research to familiarize myself with the best possible opportunities real estate has to offer. At first, I believed getting my real estates license was the going to be my first course of action, but upon reading, Im thinking that "fix and flip" might be the best means of getting started, and then transitioning to renting out purchased properties. Looking for advice or any good tid bits for a young, ambitious investor getting started. Don't own a home either.
