Just starting out, overwhelmed in Texas

Good afternoon everyone!  My name is Sallie.  I'm currently working full-time as a self-employed personal chef in the greater Houston area.  I'd like to get started in real estate investment and am in the process of learning as much as possible before I jump in with both feet.  My experience in real estate?  Does living in a house count?   I'll jump in and ask questions and make contributions where I can.  Looking forward to interacting with you!
