Hello all,

My name is Benton Bell. I'm from Mississippi, but I currently reside in Lafayette, LA. I'm a Mechanical Engineer currently working on my PE, but I want to start investing in real estate. I've seen too many of my co-workers, relatives, and friends rely solely on a job for financial freedom and security only to end up with very little to nothing. Everything I've been reading and listening to is telling me to invest in real estate.

Currently the only real estate experience I have is owning my own home.

For now, I'm looking to be a buy and hold investor starting with rental houses then move up to multi-family then eventually apartments. That's the current plan, but I'm always interested in learning about different investment strategies. Bigger Pockets seems to be a great to place to do that.

Thank y'all
