Looking to buy my first REI

Hi all,

My name is A.R. Coningsby and I am working on buying my first REI in the Fort Lauderdalearea, where i currently live and work a full time job. Ideally i would like to buy a 2-4 unit multifamily that i would "house hack" that needs some work and continue to buy more small multifamily units in the future. I am sick of paying rent and having it go toward nothing!!

I believe in order to achieve my goal, an appropriate loan for me would be a FHA 203(k) as i do not have a large down payment to put down but i am willing to put in the work. I have excellent credit and a steady job history.

Since the age of 9 I grown up and currently live in a family owned triplex of which much of the maintenance has been done by myself. I have lived next to good tenants even more bad tenants so i understand the importance of the screening process.

I have listened to about half of the podcasts here on BP and can continue to read all the blogs. Seems like i can not get enough of them. Also just about finished with the "Ultimate beginners Guide to Real Estate Investing". Thanks Josh Dorkin and Brandon Turner.

Right now i am working on getting a team together to turn my goal into a reality. Any assistance from the BP community regarding FHA 203k loans, real state lawyers, appraisers, real estate agents who have experience with owning investment properties, and anything else a newbie like myself might overlook would be greatly appreciated.

thanks all.
