Hi everyone my name is Carson Hess and I am a current engineering student looking to purchase a rental property in the central New Jersey area within the next year.  My mother was licensed as a salesperson in New Jersey for roughly five years, and licensed as a broker salesperson for one until my family moved out of state.  Having heard about the real estate business from my mother definitely sparked interest in real estate, however I did not seriously consider the investment side of the business until reading Robert Kiyosaki's classic Rich Dad Poor Dad.  Since reading that book, I have spent the last year reading about finance, investing, and real estate, which led me to listening to BiggerPockets podcasts.

Currently I work several part time jobs, am a volunteer engineering researcher at Rutgers University, and am a few weeks away from obtaining a real estate license.  Outside of that, my main interests are health, reading, and traveling.

I am looking forward to learning from and with you all on our journeys toward financial freedom.  Thank you.
