Starting out as a student in Rochester, NY

Hey all,

I'm an RIT student (that's Rochester Institute of Technology) currently living in Texas for the Summer. Engineering students here are required to work as interns throughout their time here so the plan is I will be out of the area again this coming Spring/Summer season.

I figure this gives me lots of time to learn the market and the community here before taking my first step. Ideally I'm looking to buy and hold (and perhaps live in for a little while) a small multi unit home near one of the local colleges.

Looking forward to becoming a part of the BiggerPockets community!

Kevin
