New member from Georgia

Hey everyone!  I am a new member to Bigger Pockets as well as the world of real estate investing. I am 27 years old,  married to a wonderful wife and have two young children. I currently live in Brooklet, Georgia which borders Statesboro and is near Savannah. I did buy my first home as a primary residence about a year and a half ago. It was a buy more out of necessity and convenience than anything else. The house itself will become a rental property,  but will require some extensive rehabbing before it is ready. I guess these are some of the things you learn the hard way. I currently work for a company that manufacturers, sells and services private business jets. Although I enjoy my job most of the time, the corporate rat race does demand a lot of my time. I am looking into a career and future that will lead to more allotted time with my family and friends. I am still researching to learn as much as I can, so all advices are welcome. I look forward to interacting with the members and learning as I prepare for the next chapter in my life.
