Hi guys, I just signed up on BiggerPockets since it seemed like a really intuitive forum for real estate investing. Anyways, I'm 19 and I'm based in Jersey City, NJ. There's been a lot of new developments here and quite frankly, the way I see it is that this city will be a metropolis of its own within a few years. I want to get into developing small scale housing schemes (3-4 houses within a block and hopefully more as I progress). I do a lot of 3D work and I also want to be able to have my house models verified and looked over by architects and eventually built. I just want to know if anyone is currently on this path or on a similar path where they're in charge of a house from the time it's drawn to the time it's rented/sold. I have some experience with real estate since my parents were avid flippers but I see myself more on the development side. My inspiration comes from a wide array of things. The most recent source being a mid sized luxury apartment scheme finished a few blocks from where I live. I really want to get involved in this field as soon as possible because it excites me that much and because it appeals to my creative side which is important.
