My husband and I are in the beginners stage or real estate investing. We have been buying over the past several years homes that have needed repairs or have been bank owned fixing them up and living in them for 2 years to avoid capital gains then selling for a profit. We are now trying to find properties we can buy without having to use them as are principal residence so we don't have to move every two years. I am in real estate school now to get my real estate license. We have our current house that we live in for sale and have someone that wants to do a lease option. We are in the investigating stage right now to see if we want to consider this option. We are not new to lease options, we have one that the buyer is supposed to be closing on tomorrow, the only reason we are hesitant is because this home is twice the price of the other one but we do have $200,000 equity in it. More to come on this deal.
